A MaKey MaKey kit is an invention kit that turns everyday objects into touch pads. It allows people to find creative ways to interact with their computer keyboard by using everyday items that conduct electricity (bananas, play-doh, water, etc) instead of the computer keyboard and mouse. With MaKey MaKey, you can replace your space bar with a banana and anytime you tap the banana, your computer thinks you are pressing the space bar. By using the MaKey MaKey board, alligator clips, the internet (in our project the website Scratch), and everyday objects that conduct a little amount of electricity, students were able to create instruments controlled by the computer keyboard.
